Sam's Blog: How to Tie a Zeppelin Knot

A zeppelin knot is one of the strongest, most secure knots which you can use to tie two pieces of rope together. It is easy to undo, doesn't jam and only takes a minute to learn!

Take the two pieces of rope and place them with the ends facing each other.

On the left rope, take the end of the rope down, forming a loop, and pass it above the rest of the rope to make a figure '6' shape.

Pass the end of the '6' through the bottom of both holes and out the other side.

Pass the end of the '9' through the top of both holes and out the other side.

Pull the rope together, until a '+' (plus sign) shape is formed.
