World's largest deckchair takes centre stage on Bournemouth beach
Britain is going all out to celebrate the arrival of summer this year with giant deckchairs – and some unusually warm weather.

Even Scotland will see unseasonable highs of up to 16C on Saturday, with Sunday forecast to be even sunnier.
For people in Bournemouth, though, summer started a few days early as the world’s largest deckchair sprung up on the sand.
Taller than a double-decker bus and weighing more than an adult elephant, the deckchair put a smile on the face of everyone who saw it, according to its creator Stuart Murdoch.

Mr Murdoch said: ‘It has been fantastic to see people on the beach pointing at the chair and having their photo taken with it.
‘Deckchairs are so quintessentially British – everyone who has seen it has smiled and it’s great to watch people drawn to it like a magnet.’
