None of the swimmers had met before, however they each braved the chilly water at 8pm on Saturday to swim in a lake near the Wilderness Festival in order to attempt to break a world record.
The event also marked the launch of the new Secret Swimming club, which brings people together every month to invite them to swim in wild and beautiful waters, completely naked.
Locations of the event are kept a strict secret until the very last minute, when they are released to the community.
Future Cinema and Secret Swimming founder Fabien Riggall told Wired.co.uk that the idea has generated a lot of interest and has proved a hit with those attending.
'When you go skinny dipping late at night on a beach somewhere with a group of friends, it's an amazing experience,' he said.
'It's fun. I think our audience is looking for ways of doing things that are a bit different,' Mr Riggall added.
It has not yet been confirmed whether the group broke the world record or not or how many swimmers took part.
