Open Source: iOS Library That Automatically Displays Touches On Connected External Displays

Open Source: iOS Library That Automatically Displays Touches On Connected External Displays:

With the use of external displays becoming increasingly- mainly thanks to Airplay mirroring some apps have added the option to display touches on the external display.

This is particularly useful if you have an app that could be used during presentations – or if you just want to demo your own app before a crowd and want everyone to be able to see what’s going on.

I’ve come across a library from Todd Reed known as TouchPose that makes this automatic. I love the simplicity of this library as all you have to do is use QTouchposeApplication instead of UIApplication and your app will then automatically display touches on an external display with circles shown where the app user is touching the display on the iOS device.

Here’s a screenshot from the TouchPose github page showing the library in action:

You can find further usage information and download TouchPose on Github here.

Definitely a very useful library if you’re demoing your apps.
